Integrity: Don't Serve It

Great line from the bottom of Seth Godin's post today...

In my favorite hotel's kitchen, there's a big sign on the way out to the dining room:

"If you're not proud of it, don't serve it."

This is true for all of us in the context of what we are called to serve everyday - a speech, a conversation, a clean floor, a taught student, a completed project, etc.

Processing Questions for PLI Curriculum Teachers/Trainers:

1. What is the quality of what you are “serving” everyday to those around you?

2. If you had to rate what you are “serving” on a scale of 1 to 10, what would you rate it?

3. Why is it so easy to recognize poor qualities in others, rather than in ourselves?

4. What is more important- recognizing poor qualities in others? Or in ourselves?

5. If you could upgrade one personal quality, what would it be?

6. What can you do on a daily basis to improve this quality?

Hey Rhett, I just met you at the Made For Excellence Camp in Indiana. My name is Andrew Wene. I'd just like to say that you and Suga' did an amazing job and our FFA chapter is now trying to persuade our Advisor to get you both to come speak during our FFA week. At the camp I learned alot about myself and what i can do to become a better leader. I feel as though a new door has opened up for me to be the best leader I can wether it is on my football team or my FFA Chapter. I'd just like to thank you and Kelly for making MFE the best part of my Spring Break and I'm ready for next year!! I enjoy your blogs and will continue to leave comments on things you have put on it.Thank you for yours and Kelly's inspiration. I am now running for an office as a Freshman for my Chapter and i feel that the speeches and activities have helped me with my preperation. I will update you if and (hopefully when) I am elected. But just thanks again and good luck to you and Kelly. MFE SB 08!!
Yours Truly,
